Yes, you really can use the HiFive Inventor as your own little webserver.

We know the Hifive is one hell of a powerful piece of kit and it has an industry standard ESP32 wifi chip onboard so lets see just how well it can perform as a mini-webserver.

Using Micropython and only the stock libraries that are included in the MicroPython build for the HiFive I was able to create a neat little webserver. Serving a single page displaying the current temperature as recorded by the onboard sensor. The Wifi was even good enough to shove in the freezer in my garage 5m away from the house
